Dick, exclaiming with both amusement and concern: "I told you so." Lauded by the critic and theorist Fredric Jameson as "the Shakespeare of science fiction", Dick now stands as the best known science fiction writer of the 20th century. Dick's worlds and characters have filled our screens and dictated our imaginings of both future and present: his 1968 novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? became Ridley Scott's Blade Runner; his 1977 novel A Scanner Darkly was adapted into a film of the same name by Richard Linklater; and both Paul Verhoeven and Steven Spielberg have also adapted his writings into feature films. Something about Dick's worldview, extreme in concept and image yet always grounded in real anxieties, has seduced many of America's greatest storytellers.

How To Build A Universe That Doesn't Fall Apart Two Days Later is at once a lecture on the aims of writing science fiction, an essay on Pre-Socratic philosophers, and a reflection on similarities between the author's life and the Book of Acts. They shared the same studio throughout their lives; first in Vallauris with the whole gang (Capron, Derval, Kostanda, Picasso of course, Picault, Ramié, etc.), then in Millau, and finally in Pouzilhac where they settled in a studio house to work more and better - to create their world. This book is an opportunity to shed light on a pottery workshop that was active for nearly seventy years, from the early 1950s until 2017, by highlighting its technical, ideological and cultural aspects. In Vallauris, their production was already polymorphous: the resolutely modern and free approach of the duo formed by Gyn and Robert is remarkable and concurrent with their work in other workshops. Gyn made decors at their neighbour Jacques Lignier, while Robert worked as a turner with Odette Gourju Naumowitch and her husband Ljuba (parents of Jacques Innocenti) at the Grand Chêne workshop. Their creations, signed RGA Vallauris, RGA, R et G Auguste, RA, GG, Gyn, reveal not just culinary pieces but also pots with a sculptural appearance and panels with painted decorations that take on a truly artistic dimension, one beyond the mere sense of use. When they left Vallauris, Gyn and Robert made their autonomy a priority. The most important thing was to make themselves available for encounters in their pottery studio - the place where they made and sold their work. The talent of these two potters, who were allies from the start, is to have developed throughout their lives a vocabulary of very identifiable forms present from the beginning of their activity. Their fidelity to this style is verified by the numerous archival images and signatures from all eras presenting minute variations in decoration. The charismatic Robert and Gyn had very different personalities and, conscious of their complementarity, chose an alternative lifestyle that serves as an early echo of today's revival of the earth trades. This publication includes excerpts from interviews, selections from photographic and written archives (letters, drawings, poems, chemical formulas, accounting records), and contemporary in situ photographs taken by the artist-filmmaker Ben Russell of the pieces remaining in what was Robert and Gyn's last pottery workshop.

This monograph is co-published by IRIS éditions and Dent-de-Leone.

256gb is Yung Lean’s first book, tracing the artist’s evolution and continual reinvention. The book was developed by OK-RM and Suzie&Leo in close collaboration with Yung Lean, together taking the intimate, extemporary images stored in Yung Lean’s personal photo library into a totemic classical book. Produced in Italy, the book’s material construction draws upon the 500-year-old tradition of bible-making of Legatoria Industriale Artigianale’s premises in Cava de' Tirreni. Red hot-foil typography graces a melanged green substrate. The spine paired with a red silk ribbon furthers the book’s aesthetic resonance. The logic of the book’s index exaggerates the blunt dissonance of its contents. Conceived after two years of research and developed by a dedicated working group, the pavilion offered a constellation of projects that collectively defined the concept of Food Culture—its methodologies, thematic structures, and artistic language. The layout followed a thematic program resembling a microcosm, where each intervention contributed to a broader reflection on nourishment, ritual, and global interconnectedness.
At the entrance, visitors encountered the pavilion’s centerpiece: the Infinity Table, a 41- meter-long structure made in the shape of an infinity symbol. It functioned as a communal space for exchange and dialogue. Embedded in its surface, illuminated glass cases displayed dry foods—beans, corn, rice—on one side, and objects, products, and documents from the FoodCultura Collection on the other. One loop of the table housed a high-tech kitchen, where over 100 chefs—professional and amateur—offered samples of insects and other exotic dishes, stimulating olfactory and gustatory experiences. The opposite loop presented stark imagery of violence, hunger, pollution, and waste, juxtaposing pleasure with global precariousness.

This is an exhibition catalogue published in 1995 by Fundació "La Caixa" and IVAM Centre Julio González.
