Tot estava per fer i tot era possible / Briongos, Clotet, Faura, Rovira, Tusquets

La Casa Fullà (1970) was one of the first projects of the PER architecture studio. Lluís Clotet and Oscar Tusquets expressed in the project's description their intention for the architecture to "foster a libertarian type of social relationship". This translated into mixing different types of housing with generous common spaces to facilitate interaction between neighbors. The house did not turn people into libertarians, but it did attract unconventional inhabitants, and these simplex, duplex, and triplex units were one of the focal points of Barcelona's counterculture.

This publication brings together graphic and textual material from the time, from the architects' exquisite drawings to a poem by Joan Brossa and a photographic report by Oriol Maspons. It also includes some panels that Xavier Sust designed, in the manner of a postmodern Aby Warburg, to explain the work of Clotet and Tusquets, and a panegyric that Anna Mª Moix wrote about the house under the pseudonym of the vampire "Count of Puigvalls", implicitly inviting other outsiders -zombies, werewomen, and other long-haired beings- to live in this castle in the Guinardó neighborhood of Barcelona.

Lluís Clotet and Oscar Tusquets tell a joint story, recalling (like Georges Perec) how their career began. Ramon Faura, an architect and musician who tried (without success) to fit a piano into Fullà, relates it to the emergence of the computational world. Josep Mª Rovira, a professor at ETSAB and a resident of 5C for many years, explains the architectural culture of the time and the genesis of the house, while Ana Briongos, a writer, traveler, and daughter of the builder, narrates life in these homes. Completing this narrative is the photographic report by José Hevia, which shows the interiors of these exceptional apartments for the first time.

https://terrranova.com/products/la-casa-fulla-tot-estava-per-fer-i-tot-era-possible-briongos-clotet-faura-rovira-tusquets
