Nothing could motivate us more as booksellers than contributing to the birth of a new library. Many reasons can lead to the need of creating a library from scratch: a new house, an interior design project, the opening of a public space such as a hotel or a private academy. Every case is a special case, and we’d love to help and assist no matter the size, style, budget or client brief, that can be thematic, conceptual, or purely aesthetic.

A library can be an ever evolving, never ending life’s project. We proudly help make anyone’s library larger and/or better, following the client’s specific requests.

We do this by curating new titles in the same line as the existing books, by opening new horizons when desired, or by simply informing the client when we think a new release would make a wonderful addition to their shelves.

We have been doing this for small private libraries and for huge public libraries from museums and universities, and we enjoy the different size and ambition just the same. 

Sadly, many times a private library needs to be dismantled, bringing an exhausting and quite complex amount of work. We can help catalogue and value all the books, as well as sell or donate, when appropriate, in a responsible and proportionate manner.

This is also generally an emotional moment, which we understand and treat accordingly. We have been working to pair the dismantling of private libraries with events, exhibitions or publications that document and capture the importance of the moment and its endurance in time.

There are mainly two kind of advices for private collectors and investors: expensive vintage books that we find at a competitive price, providing a wise purchase, or inexpensive new releases that for one reason or another we know that will increase their value with time and are a wise investment. For both cases, we offer a flat yearly fee, by which we will always keep you informed of the books that may suit your specific demands.
