A unique journey through the early photographs of Alberto García-Alix. The first volume includes 2154 photographs taken between 1975 and 1981. They depict the life and surroundings of the author during a historic moment for Spain, characterized by significant political, social, and cultural upheaval, such as the Transition period.

The initial volume of the collection covers a span of seven years (1975-1981), marked by the death of General Franco and the emergence of the so-called Movida Madrileña. During this period, Alberto García-Alix's photographs capture the first CNT rally after the civil war, one of the earliest demonstrations in Spain for the rights of homosexuals, lesbians, and transgender individuals, the birth of youth subcultures, the vibrant cultural activity of the Madrid Rastro, and also his initiation into drug use.

These seven years commence with the photographer's debut behind the camera and extend to the celebration of his first solo exhibition at the Buades gallery in Madrid. The second volume of the 'Archivo Nómada' collection, scheduled for 2023, will pick up the narrative from 1982 to 1986.
