Barcelona 1993-2020

Jordi Baron’s photographic project, documented in his eponymous book, captures the emptying of over 200 apartments in Barcelona’s Eixample district over nearly three decades. Through objects and traces left behind, the work preserves the lingering memory of spaces just before they vanish. Each copy of the book is produced using a solar photo printing process, making it a unique piece that is sensitive to the passage of time. The book is a reflection on the city’s transformation, the disappearance of its interiors, and the persistence of urban memory.
