Binom

After her father's suicide in 2001, Nata Drachinskaya found a box of photographs, documents and belongings revealing that he had worked for more than 25 years as a cryptographer on classified state encryption, something his family never knew.

BINOM is built from that archive in two interconnected volumes: one recalls family life and memory, the other follows the professional life that emerges from the documents. The book leaves the gaps and contradictions of the archive visible rather than resolving them.
