Escribano

For the writing reader, a page support means freeing up one hand. It is useful for transcribing fragments, jotting down ideas that arise while reading, or for seamlessly jumping from one book to another without losing the thread. "Escribano" is a very pleasant object to the touch that helps organize the inclinations of bound pages.

Two supportive leather straps stitched together house two metal discs at their ends, providing just the right weight. It is an object conceived during the Enlightenment era but in a contemporary expression. And it still knows how to age gracefully in the hand.
