Among the many collections of correspondence published by Rainer Maria Rilke, these Letters to a Young Poet, written to Franz Xaver Kappus in the early years of the twentieth century and published by him in 1929, shortly after the author’s death, are undoubtedly the most well-known, reissued, and widely read.

This new translation by Jesús Munárriz, accompanied by the original German text, provides readers with access to a faithful and definitive version of a work that is already a classic and of enduring relevance.
