Vajilla Imaginaria / Vaixella Imaginària / Imaginary Dishes originated in Barcelona and brought together over 200 artists, designers, chefs, architects, and residents. Each of these generous participants intervened on a white plate, freely choosing its format and content.
The resulting imaginary tableware captured memories, critiques, desires, and fantasies—offering a visual and emotional archive of lived experience. The plates were later auctioned to support the FoodCultura Museum, and this catalogue documenting the initiative was published with support from Moritz.
The book documents original tableware pieces by personalities such as Ferran Adrià, Isabel Coixet, La Fura dels Baus, Pasqual Maragall, Javier Mariscal, Miralda, Quim Monzó, Jaume Plensa, Xavier Rubert de Ventós, America Sanchez, Matthew Tree, Jaume Vallcorba and Jorge Wagensberg.
