Marta Armengol Bookends

For its third yearly installment, Terranova asked designer Marta Armengol to create a limited edition of bookends, the forgotten, pretty obscure furniture piece created in the late XIX century and very scarce to come across these days.

Marta's take on it is a surprising soft and baggy solution, individually crafted and sewn in a reflective iridescent fabric that shines when hit by direct light but shows as mid tone gray under normal light conditions. Its shape combines a vertical center volume to lean against the book and a bigger surrounding frame that sits on the surface.

It is a limited edition of twenty, sold as ten pairs.
