Since the 1980s, Juan Travnik has wandered at dawn through a ghostly Buenos Aires, empty of all human presence, capturing the darkness of the severe urban and peripheral landscapes. Over the years, color has gained increasing importance.

The muted nuances of his chromatic repertoire translate his despondency in the face of the current crisis in Argentina. Everywhere, the alteration of the walls and sidewalks, splatters and stains here and there, oxidations, cracks and holes, rust, the accumulation of plaster exude a somber anguish and bathe the city in a gloomy light.
