Servilletas

This book brings together 600 original napkins collected from bars, cafés, taverns, restaurants, and wineries across Spain.

Over the course of more than ten years, photographer Felipe Hernández has gathered these napkins into a personal collection that documents the popular graphic design so present in our social life. What is initially an everyday, ephemeral object becomes here a record of the country's visual identity. Servilletas is an unexpected graphic archive of our collective imagination and a tribute to that everyday world so deeply rooted in Spanish popular culture.
