Street Cop

"People continued to be wounded by bullets and die, as always, although not always in that order. In a world that changes at the speed of a virtual reality game, a simple beat cop must deal with all imaginable forms of violence produced by a society indulging in various excesses: delivery robots confronting pedestrians, drug suppliers, and drones executing alleged terrorists. Is there room for human emotions in such a toxic universe... that resembles our own all too closely? A police officer capable of empathizing with these circumstances, wouldn't they become a danger to the functioning of the system? Somewhere between a genre tale and an urban dystopia, Street Cop places the human condition at the center of an extraordinary police investigation.
