This Side of Nowhere

This project is not about street photography, nor about NY, it has nothing to do with the search for spontaneity or new ways of looking. This side of nowhere is about me, about loneliness in front of the world, about my way of observing it trying to find personal answers without concrete questions.

In 2017 I decided to start this project in the streets of New York, a city far from my environment but inevitably familiar to me through cinema and the images of great photographers. It seemed interesting to choose a place of which I already had a very definite visual reference by the work of others, to establish a comparative and often surprised by my own vision, reaching certain conclusions about myself and about my often conflicting relationship with the rest of the human species.
